A tight urban plot, opened up

Building a family home on a compact Chennai plot means the usual problem: how to get daylight and air into the middle of the plan when two sides are built up against neighbours. The design works that constraint from the start — openings, setbacks and levels placed to bring light deep into the house rather than leaving the core dependent on artificial light all day.

Scope

Terra is engaged as design consultant on this project. It is currently under construction, with the client's own contractor executing the work.
